abstract = {{For some time now, we have also been using the EPICS control system in small laboratories in order to be able to guarantee data recording and processing in accordance with the FAIR guidelines and thus to increase the overall quality of the data. It was necessary to overcome many reservations and, above all, to counter the prejudice that such systems are only suitable for large-scale installations. We are now trying to communicate the idea behind this kind of data acquisition (distributed systems, open protocols, open file formats, etc.) also in the studies of physicists, chemists and engineers and are extending our activities to universities. We also hope that in the future, users who use the individual user facilities will be able to make optimal use of the options available there. In our talk we will present the use of EPICS in small laboratories. }},
